You Got Fired

Something that could happen to you at work is that you are let go, or fired as it’s otherwise known. This is when you contract is terminated, and you no longer have a position at that company.

Getting fired isn’t exactly the most pleasant experience, and you may need a little time to let the information sink in and to adjust to it. But once you have done that, then there are several things to get sorted.

First, apply to agencies in your local area that can help you find work quickly. Also, speak to a legal representative if you believe your termination was unfair.

Lastly, ensure that you collect your last paycheck, pink slip, and written reference from your previous employment. As these will allow you to look for alternative work as soon as possible.

 

You Get Made Redundant

Slightly different to being fired, getting made redundant is only a little less distressing. It still means that you are losing your job. Although, if you have been there awhile, you may get a payout when you leave.

It’s also a little better because they are not sacking you because of a problem just for a financial reason, so it will probably be easier to find work after.
