All You Need to Know to Prepare Your Trip to Mexico

Are you going on vacation to Mexico? So, it’s a great choice! You want to prepare your trip at best but many questions jostle in your head.

What are the conditions of entry into the territory?

What risks are there on-site?

How much do I estimate my budget?

Prepare your trip to Mexico, visa, and entry

To travel to Mexico, you do not need a visa, just have a valid passport for the duration of your stay and a return ticket. Your stay (s) must not exceed 180 days in the year, otherwise, a visa will be required.

Upon arrival, you may be asked to provide sufficient resources to cover your travel expenses.

What health precautions to take in Mexico?

Mexico is a country where you can travel without risk to your health. Only recommendation: avoid drinking tap water. In case of a concern, the care provided is of quality, although paid.

We advise you on everything related to health, do not hesitate to consult it when needed.

It is also strongly recommended to have insurance or an assistance contract to cover medical expenses, hospitalization or repatriation.

Medical expenses are very expensive and hospitals may refuse to treat you if you are unable to pay in advance. It is recommended to get vaccinated against the following diseases:

Hepatitis A and B, typhoid fever, rabies (for long and rural stays), DTP, MMR and tuberculosis (for children)

What is the cost of living in Mexico?

To change the money, the easiest way is to go directly to the exchange offices. They are present everywhere in the city and in the tourist places. You will pay a commission on each withdrawal to the distributor.

It is, therefore, best to withdraw infrequently, or leave with dollars on oneself, then to change them on the spot. Moreover, it is possible to subscribe to an offer that avoids being commissioned during your withdrawals.

We have another solution to offer! Who I think will save you some money on your trip. Whether you are a novice or a frequent traveler, I strongly advise you to visit http://greatestthink.com/.

Hotels and restaurants in tourist places are more expensive than in the rest of the country, but the costs remain modest. Life in Mexico is very affordable for many Americans. You can find carefree accommodation for two people for 15 to 20 € per night. For food, count 5 to 10 € for a meal, plus the tip (about 10%). You can also eat on the go cheaply everywhere.

In the markets or to buy your souvenirs in craft shops, do not hesitate to haggle, and in Spanish if possible. However, keep in mind the time, resources and know-how needed to achieve your product. Negotiation is successful when both parties are winners.

Beware of the prices displayed, the symbol of Mexican pesos is $, as for the US dollar. In addition, the prices are sometimes in dollars in tourist places. To avoid confusion, make sure the price is in pesos.

Mexico is Warm

Mexico is relatively warm, without excessive heat, and there is not too much rain, unlike the summer. In addition, the tourist affluence is very high in the summer, so it is difficult to be quiet on the beaches and in cultural sites.

With family or friends, winter can be a good time if you want to see monarch butterflies but plan what you can do on very cold nights.

Hopefully, this article is useful for those of you who are planning to travel to Mexico. One final suggestion, try to download applications related to your travel activities. Someone who takes apps actually prepares his trip better.
