8 Ways to Avoid Debt at all Costs

It’s very easy to fall into debt, and once you’re there, it’ll feel like it’s taking over your life. Not only is it stressful, but it’s scary too.

Here’s how you can avoid it all costs.

#1 Use cash you have in your pocket

You can’t risk overspending if you just use the cash you have in your purse or wallet. Once that’s gone – it’s gone. This will help you budget what you’re buying.

#2 Make it instead of buying it

If you want a fancy meal that you thought looked delicious on tv, instead of going to the restaurant, find the recipe and make it yourself. This will be a lot cheaper, and you may also discover a new talent.

#3 Make shopping lists before you shop

Before going out on your weekly shop, make a list of everything you need, this way you can’t end up overspending or impulse buying because if it’s not on the list, don’t buy it.

#4 Take out a loan you know you can pay back

If you’re stuck and don’t know how you can get the money you need, as long as you have a good enough credit score you will be able to take out a loan which you will then be able to use to pay your bills on time.

You can take out a loan from your bank, or you can go through companies like unsecuredloans4u.co.uk/guaranteed-loans/ to get it. Just make sure you only take out what you know you can pay back, and also compare interest rates before you decide who you’re going to borrow money from.

#5 Use the wifi

If you have wifi at home, use it. Same goes for at work or wherever you are. This will stop you from using up your cell phone’s data usage which will avoid you having to pay a harsh fee on your phone bill. You can find more way of doing this with sites like https://stumbleforward.com/2011/12/16/10-ways-on-how-to-save-money-on-your-cell-phone-bill/.

#6 Unsubscribe to emails that alert you of sales

It’s so easy to get sucked into online shopping for things you don’t need, especially when you receive endless amounts of emails about the latest deals and sales. Before you know it you’ve just bought a whole new wardrobe of clothes!

Unsubscribe from the emails so you can’t get tempted.

#7 Borrow instead of buying

If there is something that you need to purchase, before you do – ask around. Your friend or family member may be looking to get rid of whatever you need for a few bucks or even for free.

It’s also wise to look through charity shops too.

#8 Sell your stuff

If you’re looking for a way to make more money to keep you out of debt, then consider selling things you no longer need.

There are many websites and apps out there that make it super quick and easy to advertise your things.

Now you’ve seen all the different ways you can make better decisions with your cash, use them. As long as you’re responsible and you start to put these ideas into action – you will see a big difference over time.
