How to Design a Website for SEO in 5 Steps

April 8, 2017 by Christopher

Source

It’s not really an easy thing to design a great website for SEO, but instead, it requires a systematic preparation. If you want to design an SEO-friendly website, then you should know a thing or two related to this.

If you want to design an SEO-friendly website, then you should know a thing or two related to this.

Below is a 5 Step process I’ve used in the past to create SEO designed websites that bring in great search traffic.

#1 Use a Word Tracker

A word tracker is a great tool that helps you do research about your keywords.

It is important to take advantage of one when you are designing a search engine friendly website if you want it to be successful. The tool can help you find relevant databases, which will attract the attention of the audience you want to reach.

There are two things here you will have to take into account: misspelling search and competition search.

#2 Use Keywords Cleverly

There are some places where you should place the keywords so as they will be visible both for people who access your website and the search engines.

For instance, it is essential to place the keywords in the URL. If you have separate essential words that should be used there, then you should separate them with dashes.

Use them in the bold headings too and don’t forget about the top and bottom of the page. If you don’t know how exactly to do that, maybe you should consider asking a professional agency to help.

For example, if you live in Chicago, you can try looking for SEOservicesusa.co – SEO Chicago’s.

#3 Don’t Forget About the Meta and Title Tags

Keep in mind that there are some search engines that still use the Meta keyword, Meta description, and title tags in order to rank and catalog websites.

Because of this, you should make sure that you have a title tag at the beginning of each page in order to identify the overall content of the document.

Write an accurate Meta description tag and include a Meta keyword tag that would show the most important keyword for each of the pages.

#4 Update Your Content

It’s an excellent idea to update your content regularly for two reasons. One of them would be to attract new visitors and also to maintain the interest of those who have already visited the website. The second important reason would be to let the search engines know that the content on your page is current and can still be used for ranking.

#5 Offer Enough Content

Most major search engines require websites to have a minimum of 200-250 words on each of the pages they index. It is a good idea anyway to have this amount of content on your website since people will become more interested in what you have to say and will come back more often to check out the website.

In the end, if you can follow these 5 steps you’ll be much more likely to see more people coming to your site through search engines like Google and Bing resulting in more sales in the end.

So what are you doing to create a more SEO designed website?   I know for me it seems like I’m always working on this with my sites.  However when it comes to websites your work is never done their is always something more you can do.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic in the comments below.

Cheers!
