How To Make $100 A Day Online With Google Adsense

If you’re like me you like the idea of building a solid stable income online.  However, their are a million ways to do it such as being a content writer for others to starting your own eCommerce site.  In this article though, I’m going to show you a simple way on how to make a $100 a day with Google Adsense.

Before we get started I should mention that this article may not cover every little detail and frankly their is no way I or anyone else could possible do so simply because things change on a constant basis.  Now for some of you this is a no brainier but for others like me this may require a little more hand holding so in the end of this article I’ll show you a great place that will work with you to help you get up and rolling called The Keyword Academy.

So let’s get started.

Why Make $100 A Day With Google Adsense

When it comes down to it adsense is one of the easiest ways to make an income online.  When you look at almost any other business opportunity on the net you will have certain issues to overcome in order to build an income online.  With eCommerce you have to deal with lining up wholesale agreements, payment options, to even storing the products.

On the other hand you have content writing for others which is a very low overhead business but will require you to write a lot of content getting paid anywhere from 1 to 5 cents per word in order to make money.  On top of that whenever you are not writing you’re not making any money, period. Which means it’s not a great way to earn a passive income.

In fact, this is the problem with almost all other online businesses is that you will have to put an insane amount of time in in order to see the money, and if you’re the part timer like me these kind of business opportunities may require you to work more than the normal spare 2 hours a day.

Now don’t get me wrong making a $100 a day with adsense will require work as well, but with this type of business model you will make money at all hours of the day, weekends, and holidays.  In fact, if you can put in an hour or two a day you can make $100 a day with adsense.

I should also mention that I don’t make $100 everyday but I have had many days were I have made over $100 a day online and within the next several months I will be earning $100 on a daily basis, so make sure you sign up for my email list at the top or this page to follow me as I progress.

Finally, when it comes to starting a business like this a lot of people always wonder how long will it be before they will make money?  The true answer is based on what you put into it, however I wouldn’t expect to make any money much less a $100 a day until after your first year.  In fact, think of your first year as an internship that will pay you in dividends for the rest of your life.

What You Will Need To Get Started

Now that we I’ve covered why this business opportunity is so great let’s take a quick look at what you will need to do in order to get up and rolling.  Below is a short list to get started with.

  • Hosting.  To start a website you are going to need some hosting space to get things up and running.  I use Hostgator and I’ve found them to be very reliable.
  • Domain Name.  Next you will need to get a domain name.  For this I recommend it be something short and catchy for your topic of interest.  Stay away from keyword stuffed domains.  For example,  if you were selling cowboy boots go with a domain name like BootKing.com instead of BestCowboyBootsForMen.com.
  • Adsense Account.  Finally, the last thing you will need is a Google Adsense Account.  This isn’t something you will need right away because at this point you are just trying to get traffic to your website.  You can sign up here for Google Adsense.

Pick A Topic

Next, we need to consider a topic to go with.  When it comes to picking a topic to write about make it something that you like to talk about.  In my case I like to talk about helping people avoid financial mistakes because I use to work in the financial services industry, and I know a lot about the pitfalls of the industry.

So take some time to consider an idea for your site.  It doesn’t have to be very niche topic, in fact here at Stumble Forward I talk about a lot of different topics from insurance, investing, timeshares, to scams.

So pick your topic now, but if your having a tough time leave a comment below and I may be able to help you along.

Write Content On Your Topic

Now that you have your topic figured out for the most part, and your hosting, and domain name in place you need to start writing content for your site.  In order to do this you will need to get some keyword ideas to make you more visible within the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

So in this example I’ll use Cowboy Boots again.

In this search I pulled up a small list of results on the Google Adwords Keyword Tool that you can see above.  You have women’s cowboy boots, kids cowboy boots, cheap cowboy boots and so on.  However we are not very specific as far as a topic goes so let’s refine the search to a more narrow topic of the results I have above.  In this case I’ll use Cheap Cowboy Boots.

Now that we’ve refined the search a bit more we can see that their are a bunch of different ways to go here.  So in this example, we’ll go with Cheap Cowboy Boots For Women as our article idea since it has a high advertising competition, around 1900 visitors a month, and pays around $1.05 per click.

So now we have to come up with some sort of title containing this keyword in it such as The 10 Best Cheap Cowboy Boots For Women To Buy.  Once we have the title simply write the content and if you already know a lot about this subject it shouldn’t be hard to do.

However I am going to stress one important message here, Write High Quality Content.  For example, with the article idea above about women’s cowboy boots it should cover  the ten best pairs of boots and answer the question sincerely.  This doesn’t mean just talk about any 10 pair of boots but rather do your own research and figure out what really are the best pair to buy.

You might suggest what the best sole to have is, and what makes them more comfortable, in fact you might even put a boot matrix together that covers all the product options and prices in one spot.  With this personal insight it will drive the point home that you know what you are talking about and by doing that you will garner the trust of your readers much faster.

Write your first article now.

Promote Your Content

Now that you’ve created your first piece of content you need to promote it in order to get the word out, and just like any other business this may take several different methods so here are a few things I do.

  • Socialize.  The first thing I almost always do is send a tweet out on Twitter.  By doing this I’m basically alerting everyone that is following me that I’ve written a new piece of content and that they should check it out.  On top of that I also recommend it to my Facebook and G+ followers as well.
  • Guest Post.  The next thing I do is typically write 3 guest post that link back to the article I just wrote.  I do this to share it with others and promote.  On top of that as an added bonus a lot of times I end up ranking in the search engines because of this.
  • Blog Carnivals.  The next thing I do is submit my best article to a blog carnival each week.  A blog carnival is place you can submit your article to each week and if it gets picked it will be featured on someones site each week.  To get an idea of how this works you can check out a recent carnival I held on my site for The Carnival of Personal Finance.
  • Build Relationships.  The final thing I do to promote my content is to build relationships with others.  Now you might be wondering how is this going to improve my site. Well let me give you an example of how this works.  Recently, while surfing around on Twitter I came across a guy named Kevin who contacted me to get my feed back on a product he was building.  Over time and several emails Kevin finally asked me if I’d be interested in writing a guest post for their site and the next thing you know I had an article on a high quality and very popular website.
So take some time and promote your content now.

Rinse And Repeat

So now that you’ve written your first piece of content for your site and promoted it simply rinse and repeat the process again.  Find another set of keywords to use, create a title, write the article, and promote it.  Now one of the great things that will happen over time as you create this great content and promote it is that others that read your content and will eventually link to you just because you have a valuable resource sending you more and more traffic.

So what are you waiting for rinse and repeat.

How To Make $20 An Hour Writing Articles Online

Yes, you read the title to this article right, you can make $20 an hour writing articles online. Earning money online is actually not that tough. You just have to be willing to put the work in to get it. In fact this is the whole reason people fail at making any money online, they’re lazy.

In know that’s a bit blunt but it’s true. I’ve been doing this business since late 2008 and the one thing everyone seems to be looking for is that secret formula. Well I’ll let you in on a little secret of my own, their is no secret formula but plain old fashion hard work, and if you can do that you will make some money, and if you do it good enough you could even earn a full time income on it.

So let’s stop wasting time and get started.

The Basics

To start you might be wondering why would somebody pay you to write an article for them? The reason is because content in the currency of the web. People need content to publish on their websites for a lot of different reasons from informative how to post, to back linking articles to help improve search engine rankings and to bring in new a reader base from other sites.

On top of that the typical article writer on the net will earn around 1 cent per word. Now I know that doesn’t sound like much so let me show a simple example of how 1 cent a word can add up to a big deal. If you could type 1200 words an hour you would earn $12 an hour. Over time as you get better at your typing and research skills you could eventually do 2000 words an hour which would equate to $20 an hour in earnings.

However I know 2000 words can even be a lot of work for the beginner so start out at a lower amount such as 1200 words an hour. On top of that also know that 1 cent a word is only the beginning. A good writer can average 2 cents or more a word. Writing 1200 words an hour earning 2 cents a word would equal $24 an hour in earnings.

Now let’s say on a part time level you could write for 12 hours a week earning 2 cents a word you would be able to earn a total of $288 a week and over $1150 a month and nearly $14,000 a year. Not bad for a monthly part time income. However let’s consider what you could at a full time level.

If you were able to write 1200 words, for 8 hours a day, earning 2 cents a word, you would earn a total of $192 on a 8 hour day. Now if you were able to do that for 5 days a week you would earn $960 a week, and if you were able to do that for 48 weeks out of a year you would earn over $46,000 a year. Not bad for working only 48 weeks out of the year and no weekends.

Now that we know writing articles online  can be a very profitable  business let’s talk about what you need to do to set up shop and get rolling.

Setting Up Shop

In order to get started you are going to need a few things.  However one thing you will not need is some sort of college education.  The great thing about this business is that you don’t need to have a world class education to do this.  In fact all you need is some a few computer skills and a lot of determination and the world is yours.  So here are a few things you’ll need.

  • Internet.  First off, you are going to need an internet connection primarily because the whole business in run over the net.
  • Typing Skills.  Next you will need some sort of typing skills in order to write these articles.  However if this isn’t one of your strong points you may want to consider a speech typing software such as Dragon.
  • A Quite Place To Work.  Finally,  the last thing you will need is a quiet place to work.  If you want to write 2000 words an hour, much less 1200 words an hour you are going to need a place where you can concentrate.

Where To Get Your Jobs

Now that we have an idea of what you need to set up shop and get rolling you might be wondering were to do I get these online article writing jobs?  So here are a few places to start, however if you’d like to find more just do a search for Online Article Writing Jobs, and I’m sure you’ll find tons of places to get work.

  • Textbroker.  The first place to look is Textbroker.  Pay with Textbroker starts at just less than 1 cent however they will pay as high as 5 cents per word.
  • The Content Authority.  The next place to check out is The Content Authority.   Pay with The Content Authority starts at 1 cent per word and goes as high as 5 cents per word.  I personally like this site the best for it’s clean and easy use.  On top of that they also offer a rewriting feature that allows you to get paid to rewrite an article multiple times.
  • Elance.  Finally, the last option to consider is Elance.  Pay with Elance can be a lot more, in fact it’s not uncommon to earn $50 for one article but with Elance you will need to be a bit more advanced.  This is why I suggest you get your feet wet with The Content Authority and Textbroker first before taking on Elance.

Getting Started

Now that you know where to get the jobs from take some time and sign up for these different companies.  In order to get accepted you will have to do a sample article.  This is done to show them your writing quality so they can rate you.  So if you do well you could potential earn more but what will likely happen is you will have to start at the bottom and build yourself up like everyone else.

Once your started one of the best things you can do is build relationships with others.  By doing this you would be much more likely to land repeat customers, and maybe even a steady writing gig.  The key is to continually work towards improving your skills, this will increase the amount of money you earn per article, and how many jobs you get overall.

Make Money On eBay: 10 Things You Should Know As A Beginner

ebayLately, I’ve been looking into the idea of starting another business opportunity, however I’ve been hesitant about doing this since I don’t have much time considering I already run two different businesses.  However in my last article I covered several money making ideas that people could try.  One idea was to start an eBay business.

So over the last few days I’ve been spending my time learning what to sell on eBay to make money, and learn a little more about how this opportunity in general, so in this article I’m going to cover 10 thing I’ve learned so far as a beginner.

Sell Something You Own

When your getting started to make money on eBay you need to know that their will be a learning curve.  You may or may not know all the in’s and out’s of selling stuff on eBay yet so this is why I suggest you start by selling something you own first.

The reason for this is simple, if you’re selling wholesale items or selling other peoples stuff for them you will have to sell it and make a profit.  However with selling your own stuff first  it allows you to learn how the process works before you get in over your head.

Also sell something you don’t need either.  Maybe you have a book you don’t want or an old video game.  If you sell stuff like this and don’t earn a profit to start it’s OK, because your just looking for some experience.

Buy Something

The next thing I recommend you do if you haven’t already done it is buy something from eBay.  Now why in the world would I tell you to buy something from eBay?

The reason for this is because you not only need to learn how the seller thinks but also how the buyer thinks.  Knowing how buyers will react to your listings is priceless information.  This also may help to point out some things you don’t like about the way other people promote products in their listings as well.  Knowing this could give you an edge over competitors.

Start The Bidding Low

Third, know that when your starting an auction it’s better to start bids low.  In fact bids that start at a $1 or less tend to get a lot more bids than listings that don’t

To prove that it works do this with the first item you sell.  Start the bidding at $1 or less and see what happens.  Over pricing items will cause people to over look your listing and in most cases never even looked at it.

To prove this point back several years ago I tried to help a friend sell a ring on eBay and we started bidding out at $5000, way past the average price.  In the end we didn’t even get one bid on it, if fact we barely got anyone to look at it.  Also don’t put a reserve price on the product you are selling, this will discourage a lot of people as well.

Know The Shipping Options

Next when it comes to ways to make money with eBay you need to know the shipping options.  Keeping your shipping prices low is very important otherwise it could take a big bite out of your end profit.  With eBay they allow you to buy postage and print out shipping labels right from their website.

Getting started with eBay’s shipping options is easy, all you have to do is go to their website, go under the Sell tab and click on shipping center.  There they will give you all the tools and information you need to understand the shipping aspects or your business.

Decide On A Business Model

Next when your learning how to make money on eBay you also need to understand the type of business model you want to have.  In this section I’m going to cover three basic types.

  1. Sell Personal Items. In this option you could just stick to selling things around your home and also going to auctions, garage sales, and any other place you could find potential product listings.
  2. Be An eBay Broker. The next option it to be an eBay broker.  This is a person who sells stuff for others on eBay.  Some people just don’t want to take the time to learn how to sell on eBay so they have a broker do it for them.  To get started talk to family and friends and offer to help them sell some unwanted stuff around their homdobae for a small fee of course.
  3. Sell Name Brand. The last option is to sell stuff from wholesalers.  Wholesale companies like Doba work with name brand companies like Nike, Apple, and many other companies.  They also take care of the shipping so you don’t store and buy products.

Do Your Research

Next once you’ve picked the business model you want to follow or at least base your business on most of the time you will need to do your research on the products you wish to sell.  Research is important so you can be competitive with other eBay listings.

When I was first getting started one product I was looking to sell on eBay was netbooks because I owned one myself and felt knowledgeable on the subject, but after I did some serious research I found that the market was far to competitive at that I couldn’t possibly compete on the prices that they were going for.  On top of that places like Amazon were also selling netbooks for far less than I could as well.  In the end knowing all of this information saved me a lot of time and money.

Use PayPal

paypalNext with any make money eBay business you need to be careful of fraud  and scams.  That’s why I suggest setting up a PayPal account.  It will protect you from getting ripped off.  Some eBay sellers will except cashier checks and money orders however I do not recommend this since it will leave you to vulnerable to theft.

Instead setup a personal PayPal account that allows you to send and receive money from others.  Their will be a small fee every time you receive a payment but it’s not very expensive.  Using PayPal will also speed up the sales process as well and get you the payment much faster than if you only excepted checks or money orders.

Set Up Your Workspace

Eighth, when it comes to making money on eBay you will need to set up a work space for your eBay business.  I suggest an unused room in your house or basement.  This will allow you be more productive as a business.

You will also need to look into a few supplies that will help you run your business a bit more efficiently as well.  A few things you will want to look into include a digital camera, a computer, a printer, a back drop for taking pictures of your products, and an internet connection.

If you don’t have all of these things don’t worry, you can start buying these things over time as you build your business.  In fact buy them off of eBay if you don’t have them yet, you’ll be gaining experience and getting all of the equipment you need at the same time.

Give Good Descriptions

Next, when it comes to making money selling on eBay, you will want to give a thorough description of your product.   By giving a good description it get you more bids and give people more info than if you just put down a few line and a product name.

Also be sure to list any imperfections the product may have as well.  In fact if you can include a picture of the imperfection to show them what it exactly wrong.  I once bought a book off of eBay and the book was claimed to be in perfect condition but when I got it the book had a few crinkled and torn pages.  In the end this can lead to negative feedback, which brings me to my last point.

Communicate

Finally, for the last tip on how to make money on eBay I want to point out that you need to communicate with others.  What I mean by this is that when people email you to know something about the product you are selling make sure you respond quickly.

Also when a sale is complete and the product and funds have been exchanged make sure you leave valuable feedback for that person.  This will help them out as well as you in the long run when building your business.

5 Money Making Ideas To Help You Make It Through A Tough Economy

With the tough economy and huge lose of jobs throughout the country I’ve decide to take some time today and give you some money making ideas to help you make it through the tough times.  So in this article I’m going to cover 5 ideas to make money, some of which I have done and still do to this day.

World Financial Group

The first of the good money making ideas is World Financial Group, also known as WFG.  WFG is a network marketing company that specializes in helping people with their financial needs.  They do everything from investments, life insurance, and annuities.

I worked with this company for 4 and a half years and the two biggest things I’ve learn while working for them was how to manage money, and secondly how to run a business.

The Keyword Academy

Next up on the list of the top money making ideas is the The Keyword Academy.  This opportunity will show you how to set up your own website from scratch.  They will show you how to write great article content and build up strong rankings with in Google and other search engines and finally show you how to make money by using advertising programs such as Google Adsense.

The best thing about this opportunity is that they will show you how to do everything from writing the article to making the money.  This opportunity is also the least costly to get started.  With only a few bucks to buy a domain name, and some hosting space and you can be up and running.

The next make money idea to look into is Ebay.  If you have a bunch of stuff around your home that you need to get rid of this could be the perfect way to earn a few bucks on the side till you find that next job.  However if you don’t have your own products to sell that isn’t a problem either.  With sites like Doba who broker deals with some of the countries top companies like Nike, HP, and Black and Decker, you can sell virtually any product you want.

The great thing about Ebay is it’s very easy to get up and running within few hours and you can be earning money in no time flat.  On top of that with Doba you don’t have to buy or handle any of the products and they will be drop shipped right to your customers door.

Elance And Textbroker

In this next part I going to cover two idea to make money that are very similar.  The first one is elance.  This is a site that offers all kinds of freelance computer rated jobs, these would be jobs such as computer programing, web design, to legal, and financial management.  The options here are almost endless.

The second option is a site called Textbroker.  This is a site that allows you to sign up and write articles for people  based on how good of a writer you are.  The typical writer will be paid around 2 cents to 5 cents per word.  So if you write a 500 word article and get paid 5 cents a word you would make $25.  Do this 10 times a day you could be earning a very healthy living.

Amway

Finally, the last option to check out is Amway  You may have seen commercials about this company on TV.  Amway sells a variety of different products such as nutrition and wellness, to makeup, to bath and body, and even stuff for your home.  Getting started with Amway runs around $50 a year.

Their success is built on the fact that many of their independent business owners also use their products.  On top of that they also recruit people on a regular basis which allows their business owners to earn an even bigger income over time.

However this opportunity is for someone who isn’t looking to make money super fast because it will take some time build up and start your business however over time it can be very rewarding.  To learn more about Amway click here.

Passive Income Opportunities: How To Build An Income That Keeps On Giving

Today everyone is looking for passive income opportunities on the web.  Most usually never succeed however in today’s article I want share with you a simple way to earn passive income.

However before I start I just want to mention that this opportunity is not a get rich quick thing, nor is it easy for that fact.  In order to make passive income with this opportunity it will require a dedicated effort.  I not talking a 40 hour work week but at least an hour or two a day to see some serious results.

Finally, I also want you to read the whole article as it will explain how everything works, and at the end of the article I will give a place where you can go learn more about this opportunity.

What Is The Opportunity

So what is this opportunity you might be wondering, it’s content marketing.  Now you might be wondering how this will make you any money but I will explain that.  To help you understand what I’m talking about look at the picture below.

This is a snap shot of a website called Ezine Articles.  This is website that has thousands if not millions of articles on it.  Articles that also rank well in Google as well.  If you also notice I have several arrows pointing to different advertising spots on the site.

The first spot is the Google Search bar. Anytime someone searches something they will be given a list of results.  Along with those results also comes a list of ads as well and if someone clicks on those ads Ezine Articles will make money.

The second ad spot is a list of links just below the search bar.  These links once clicked will bring up a page with relevant ads on them.  If someone clicks on them Ezine Articles will earn some money.

The last two spots below are called content ads.  These ads show based on the content that is being displayed in the content section.  These ads are on a pay per click basis. In the end all of the passive income streams can pay out well.

Finally you might be wondering how much money can this really make you.  To give you an idea if you had a website that had a thousand visitors a day and 3% of them clicked on an ad and each ad click paid a dollar on average you could earn $30 a day or roughly a thousand dollars a month.

In the rest of this article I’m going to show just how to do this.

How To Make Passive Income

Before I start I’m going to already assume you’ve set up a website and picked a topic you want to write about.  If your not sure pick something you know something about and start their.

I also suggest you keep the site fairly general.  For example, if you know a lot about bathrooms that’s great but you may want to consider starting a website that talks about the entire home this way it give more topics to expand upon.  If your not sure how to do all this wait till you get the end of the article where I will give some resources you use to help you get started.

Next you will have to start by doing some keyword research.  Now you might be wondering why do you need to do keyword research, the reason is simple, because traffic from Google and other search engines are the best traffic you can find.

People who are looking to solve a problem don’t go to twitter or facebook, they go to Google, Bing, or Yahoo.  For example, to prove my point think about how you found this page.  Most people who find this page come from the search engines just like you did looking for a passive income opportunity.  So now that we know that search engines are the way to go how do harness the power of them, that’s right you research relevant keywords that you could rank for.

To do this go to Google and type in keyword search tool.  The first result should be for the Google Adwords tool.  The page that opens up should look like the one below.  To start searching type in a keyword.  In the example below you will want to turn the search to exact, this will give you more accurate numbers.

Once you fill in a search term the results should look something like what you see below.  The keywords you are looking for are ones that have more than a thousand visitors and earn more than a dollar cost per click.  However the competition should be low as well. If you look at the picture below you can see that passive income ideas has a fairly low competition, earns more than a dollar per click, and has around 1600 visitors.  This would be a good fit.  If this all sounds confusing don’t worry at the end of this article I’m going to show you so tools you can use to make this whole process a lot easier.

Now that you know the keywords you want to shoot for start writing an article for each keyword that is roughly around 400 words or more.  Now just because you write a bunch of articles on your keywords doesn’t mean you’ll start ranking well in Google, you have to build links to rank.

In order to rank for a keyword you need to get links from other like minded sites.  Now before you start thinking this is going to be tough it’s not.  The best way to do this is to write guest post, using sites like Ezine Articles and other article sites, building links can be very easy.

However in order to link to your post you will have link back to the post with your keyword.  For example, if you would write a post on the word passive income opportunity, you would want the link to be read passive income opportunity.  However you will want to vary the keyword from time to time because it is against Google’s policy to use the same word in the link and it may cause a red flag to be raised and your post may be deranked.

Finally, the last thing you need to do is monetize your website.  Their is no one perfect solution to making money with your website.  Some will use Google’s advertising program called Adsense.  However you should know that it is against Google policy to use just Adsense so I also recommend that you use looking to some affiliate programs as well.

Affiliate programs are used by many companies like Amazon, Ebay and many other places to help sell product and allow you to earn a commission.  Find programs that are closely related to your topic and use those.  For example I have a financial website that I use a lending affiliate program on it and every money I make a few commissions from them for hosting their program on my site.

Finally, I know some of this can be a bit confusing and overwhelming at first but like anything it all takes a little time till you catch on.  On the other hand some people can pick up on stuff like this right off the bat, but for those of you who need more info as to how to put this business into full gear you make want to check out The Keyword Academy.

What I Like

Now that we know what the program offers I’d like to share a few things I like about this program.  First off, Post Runner has been the biggest help for me.  When it comes to guest posting it can take a lot of time to write a post and submit it a site that will even accept it.  With Post Runner all I have to do is write the article and pick the site I want to send it to and Post Runner will do the rest for me.

What I Don’t Like

I personally wish they would cover more in depth monotization methods like affiliate marketing and ecommerce.  However in time I believe they will but for now just know they haven’t done much in this area.

Pay Off Debt Reviewing Products You Own

I know this sounds a little odd when I say it at first but when I finally saw this little business opportunity I decided to give it a shot and see what I could do with it.

The name of the website is ciao.com.  I recently came across this site when someone had suggested it on twitter.  At first I was a little standoffish, but once I made it to the website I decided it would be worth a further look.

What Is CIAO

Ciao is a product review site the allows consumers to review products and even get paid a small fee for doing it.  Ciao is coined the consumer community, not just a place for people to do reviews but also to talk to friends, share opinions and even buy products.

You can review everything from appliances to video games.  With Ciao you don’t need to have your own website, blog, or even do any advertising for that matter. 

In fact, Ciao is completely free to use.  It won’t cost you one red cent to get started with this little opportunity.  So if money is tight, I definitely recommend this money-making idea.

How Ciao Makes You Money

First off, let me say Ciao won’t make you a ton of money but it will make you enough to pay a few bills or have a little extra spending cash.  So with that said, let’s dive into a few ways that you can make some money.

The first way you can make money is obviously with writing reviews.  However, you won’t make money with every review.  Some reviews will pay more and some will pay little if any at all.  In fact if you’re the first person to review a product you will make double the money. 

Why?

I’m really not sure but my guess is that companies who put their products on Ciao are paying more up front.  Ciao also pays for good reviews.   The better the review, the more you make.  If your review is genuine and unique, it will gain more popularity, which in turn makes more money.

I wrote several reviews on Ciao and the most I seemed to make was around a dollar per review, providing they were paying me much for that review. 

The second way you can earn money is by rating other people’s reviews.  You might be thinking, ‘why would this be so important?’  Well, companies who are paying to have their products on this website being reviewed want to know what the best reviews are. 

With a good review, you can make a few cents per rating.  Now that might not sound like much but if you had a few hundred people rate your review, it can add up quickly.  In fact, I had several people request to be friends within my first few hours on the site. 

So think about it, if you could write one review and get 250 friends to review it you could make a few extra bucks every day.  I’m not guaranteeing you success here but with a little hard work, this could definitely be a possibility.

However I should mention one catch here.  The friends that rate your reviews must rate it at least exceptional, helpful, or very helpful in order for you to make the money.  This is why it is so important to write good reviews. I’ll go into how to do this a little later.

Over time, you will gain trust with certain people on Ciao and you may want to keep track of them more than other friends.  Ciao allows you add friends to what is known as a circle of trust. 

For example, you may have a friend that rates all of your reviews and as a result you do the same for them.  Doing this separates your close-knit friends from the duds.  These are the people you want to add to your circle of trust.

What I Like About Ciao

Ciao is an anytime, anywhere business.  You can write or rate a review in the morning before work, on your lunch hour, or at night after you put the kids to bed.  I do that a lot.  This opportunity is about as flexible as they come.

I also like the fact that it doesn’t cost you anything to join.  Most business opportunities aren’t this way.  With most businesses you have to pay to play.

Finally, you can get started fast.  No lengthy sign up process, just fill out the basic information and your off.  I signed up and had my first review done in a half hour.  With most business opportunities you don’t make money for a few months maybe even longer.  I made money with Ciao within the first hour of being in the program.

What I Don’t Like About Ciao

With all the great things about Ciao there are still some down sides.  First off, there is a low retention rate.  A lot of people sign up with Ciao everyday and a lot of them quit every day.  This is the sad truth. 

People come to Ciao looking to make a quick buck and once they see that they have only made a few cents from someone rating their reviews, they see this as more work than they really want to put in.  However, I feel people who have quit are only looking at the short term reward and not focusing on the long term vision needed to succeed here.

Finally, the spammers who don’t care about the reviews or rating them.  These people just want to have everyone join them and rate their reviews and not pay back the favor.  They also will spam or copy other peoples reviews and basically abuse the system.  Don’t let this get you down if this happens to you. product_page

Getting Started With Ciao

Getting started with Ciao is easy.  Simply click on the ‘join now’ button on their home page and follow the instructions.  You’ll need a name to go by, an email address, and you’re ready to go.

Write A Review

Next, write your first review.  What I like to do here is just do a search for something I use regularly.  For example, I reviewed a few movies I like, a few digital things like laptops, even appliances I’ve used around the house. 

Once you’ve found the product you like you can write a review, add the item to your Ciao list to do a review later, or even do a video review.  I haven’t done a video review but I’m sure these pay just as well.

So for now just click on ‘write a review’. When the page pops up you will see several things.  First, you will need a title, above that you will need to rate the product with a five star rating.  Next, you will see an area below to write a review however you will want to watch the word count on the review to make sure it is at least 120 words or more.  In order to get paid it must be that long.  If you’re not sure how to write your review, there are a couple of links at the top of the review section that will show you how to write and format your review.review_page1

After that, there may be some specific criteria the merchant may want to know.  This section is located next to the review section.  There may be a number of things the merchant wants to know about their product.  Just answer them honestly and move on.

Below the review section you will have to give one disadvantage of the product and one advantage of the product.  If you know a lot about the product this shouldn’t be too tough.

After that it will ask if you would recommend this product to a friend, once again answer honestly and move to where it will ask you to confirm the review.  Check the box and that’s it.  That’s all there is to it.

Once you get started with Ciao you will want to make friends with others in the community.  In fact, you may have some requests from people to add them to your community. 

During my beginning stages, I accept just about anyone but over time you will want to add those that actually help you out the most into your circle of trust.

Once you have built up a solid network of friends, it will be easier for you to get ratings on your reviews and in turn earn more money.

Last week I talked about starting your own blog to get out of debt.  This week I’m going to talk about another business opportunity that you can take advantage of as well.  This week we will be talking about using a Niche Marketing Strategy to pay off your debt.

What Is A Niche Marketing Strategy?

A niche marketing Strategy is nothing more than a website that promote a very specific topic to a very specific group of people.  A few niche marketing examples might be mountain bikes, professional digital cameras, or cross country running.  These are some specific topics that people might search on the web for. 

As a result these sites then will sell very specific products related to their site as a way to generate a few extra dollars.  For example the mountain bike site might sell an ebook on great places to ride your bike, or how to setup your mountain bike for stellar riding conditions. 

The professional digital camera site might show you some usful ways to use backdrops and camera positioning.  This site may sell specific cameras for using in certain situations like outdoor or for underwater use .  Again very specific topics selling very specific products.  That is what these websites are all about.

Here is a great niche market example of a site that only talks about Betta Fish.  You might be thinking Betta Fish!  Before you start thinking what kind of money could this guy possible be make from a site all about Betta Fish you might be surprised.   He makes between $500 to $1500 a month.  Not a bad little income to help pay of that debt and save some extra cash.

How Do You Start Your Own Niche Marketing Website?

Well now that we know what a niche marketing strategy is how do we get started in this type of business?  This is actually the easy part.  I could site here and tell you all about niche marketing but instead of recreating the wheel why not learn from someone who already knows how to do it.

In fact after watching their first video on how to rank well for search terms on google I thought I would give it a shot and test out one of their ideas.  So I went out and found a search term that brings in a few visitors a day.  I wrote a post called Payment For Gold Scandal.  The term I used was “Payment For Gold.” 

So I posted this particular article on Friday the 13th (What a scary thought.) I decide the very next morning to check my stats and see where I ranked for this term.  Out of 52 million pages in the search results I ranked seventh.  See the picture below.

First, unlike blogging were you have to continually update your website for your readers.  A niche marketing strategy is the complete opposite.  These sites are more stagnant and don’t change much.  In fact once you have it set up you have to do very little in the way of maintaining them.
