If you’re like me you like the idea of building a solid stable income online. However, their are a million ways to do it such as being a content writer for others to starting your own eCommerce site. In this article though, I’m going to show you a simple way on how to make a $100 a day with Google Adsense.
Before we get started I should mention that this article may not cover every little detail and frankly their is no way I or anyone else could possible do so simply because things change on a constant basis. Now for some of you this is a no brainier but for others like me this may require a little more hand holding so in the end of this article I’ll show you a great place that will work with you to help you get up and rolling called The Keyword Academy.
So let’s get started.
Why Make $100 A Day With Google Adsense
When it comes down to it adsense is one of the easiest ways to make an income online. When you look at almost any other business opportunity on the net you will have certain issues to overcome in order to build an income online. With eCommerce you have to deal with lining up wholesale agreements, payment options, to even storing the products.
On the other hand you have content writing for others which is a very low overhead business but will require you to write a lot of content getting paid anywhere from 1 to 5 cents per word in order to make money. On top of that whenever you are not writing you’re not making any money, period. Which means it’s not a great way to earn a passive income.
In fact, this is the problem with almost all other online businesses is that you will have to put an insane amount of time in in order to see the money, and if you’re the part timer like me these kind of business opportunities may require you to work more than the normal spare 2 hours a day.
Now don’t get me wrong making a $100 a day with adsense will require work as well, but with this type of business model you will make money at all hours of the day, weekends, and holidays. In fact, if you can put in an hour or two a day you can make $100 a day with adsense.
I should also mention that I don’t make $100 everyday but I have had many days were I have made over $100 a day online and within the next several months I will be earning $100 on a daily basis, so make sure you sign up for my email list at the top or this page to follow me as I progress.
Finally, when it comes to starting a business like this a lot of people always wonder how long will it be before they will make money? The true answer is based on what you put into it, however I wouldn’t expect to make any money much less a $100 a day until after your first year. In fact, think of your first year as an internship that will pay you in dividends for the rest of your life.
What You Will Need To Get Started
Now that we I’ve covered why this business opportunity is so great let’s take a quick look at what you will need to do in order to get up and rolling. Below is a short list to get started with.
- Hosting. To start a website you are going to need some hosting space to get things up and running. I use Hostgator and I’ve found them to be very reliable.
- Domain Name. Next you will need to get a domain name. For this I recommend it be something short and catchy for your topic of interest. Stay away from keyword stuffed domains. For example, if you were selling cowboy boots go with a domain name like BootKing.com instead of BestCowboyBootsForMen.com.
- Adsense Account. Finally, the last thing you will need is a Google Adsense Account. This isn’t something you will need right away because at this point you are just trying to get traffic to your website. You can sign up here for Google Adsense.
Pick A Topic
Next, we need to consider a topic to go with. When it comes to picking a topic to write about make it something that you like to talk about. In my case I like to talk about helping people avoid financial mistakes because I use to work in the financial services industry, and I know a lot about the pitfalls of the industry.
So take some time to consider an idea for your site. It doesn’t have to be very niche topic, in fact here at Stumble Forward I talk about a lot of different topics from insurance, investing, timeshares, to scams.
So pick your topic now, but if your having a tough time leave a comment below and I may be able to help you along.
Write Content On Your Topic
Now that you have your topic figured out for the most part, and your hosting, and domain name in place you need to start writing content for your site. In order to do this you will need to get some keyword ideas to make you more visible within the search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
So in this example I’ll use Cowboy Boots again.
In this search I pulled up a small list of results on the Google Adwords Keyword Tool that you can see above. You have women’s cowboy boots, kids cowboy boots, cheap cowboy boots and so on. However we are not very specific as far as a topic goes so let’s refine the search to a more narrow topic of the results I have above. In this case I’ll use Cheap Cowboy Boots.
Now that we’ve refined the search a bit more we can see that their are a bunch of different ways to go here. So in this example, we’ll go with Cheap Cowboy Boots For Women as our article idea since it has a high advertising competition, around 1900 visitors a month, and pays around $1.05 per click.
So now we have to come up with some sort of title containing this keyword in it such as The 10 Best Cheap Cowboy Boots For Women To Buy. Once we have the title simply write the content and if you already know a lot about this subject it shouldn’t be hard to do.
However I am going to stress one important message here, Write High Quality Content. For example, with the article idea above about women’s cowboy boots it should cover the ten best pairs of boots and answer the question sincerely. This doesn’t mean just talk about any 10 pair of boots but rather do your own research and figure out what really are the best pair to buy.
You might suggest what the best sole to have is, and what makes them more comfortable, in fact you might even put a boot matrix together that covers all the product options and prices in one spot. With this personal insight it will drive the point home that you know what you are talking about and by doing that you will garner the trust of your readers much faster.
Write your first article now.
Promote Your Content
Now that you’ve created your first piece of content you need to promote it in order to get the word out, and just like any other business this may take several different methods so here are a few things I do.
- Socialize. The first thing I almost always do is send a tweet out on Twitter. By doing this I’m basically alerting everyone that is following me that I’ve written a new piece of content and that they should check it out. On top of that I also recommend it to my Facebook and G+ followers as well.
- Guest Post. The next thing I do is typically write 3 guest post that link back to the article I just wrote. I do this to share it with others and promote. On top of that as an added bonus a lot of times I end up ranking in the search engines because of this.
- Blog Carnivals. The next thing I do is submit my best article to a blog carnival each week. A blog carnival is place you can submit your article to each week and if it gets picked it will be featured on someones site each week. To get an idea of how this works you can check out a recent carnival I held on my site for The Carnival of Personal Finance.
- Build Relationships. The final thing I do to promote my content is to build relationships with others. Now you might be wondering how is this going to improve my site. Well let me give you an example of how this works. Recently, while surfing around on Twitter I came across a guy named Kevin who contacted me to get my feed back on a product he was building. Over time and several emails Kevin finally asked me if I’d be interested in writing a guest post for their site and the next thing you know I had an article on a high quality and very popular website.
Rinse And Repeat
So now that you’ve written your first piece of content for your site and promoted it simply rinse and repeat the process again. Find another set of keywords to use, create a title, write the article, and promote it. Now one of the great things that will happen over time as you create this great content and promote it is that others that read your content and will eventually link to you just because you have a valuable resource sending you more and more traffic.
So what are you waiting for rinse and repeat.
