Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been taking my time to put together this list.  This list is unlike any list you may have seen before because this is list of known scammers by name.  This could be a persons first name, a website address, the name of a company,  even an email address.

This list will be formally known as The Scammers Lists.  Today so many people are getting ripped off by these cons that I felt compelled me to start a list of known scammers.  However this list of scammers is by no means a complete list.

This list is just a start of known scammers and a way to turn in scammers names.  With this list finding scammers on the net will benefit us all by exposing these criminals and helping others avoid getting scammed.

Next, feel free to add to this list by leaving a comment.  By contributing your information everyone benefits.   On the same end of the stick if you have reached this page make sure you read the comments because they will contain the best information of all.

If you are planning on leaving a comment list the scammers name, how they contacted you, and what they said.  Give as much detail as possible.   Over time I will add more names to the list as readers bring more names to my attention.

Finally, their were a lot of names I’ve come across over time that were reported to me as being scammers.  However, I have not listed most of these names due to the fact that I couldn’t verify whether these names were the names of real scammers.

The List Of Scammers Names

  • Milton Hayward. This scammer is actually the name of a company.  In fact their are several people involved in this scam of which all names I will mention next.  Milton Hayward are basically stock scammers based out of China looking to sell people bad investments.  You can read more about Milton Hayward here. Other scammers that are associated with Milton Hayward are John Hayward, Dave Basset, John Cannon, Mark Harvey, and Micheal Gellard.
  • noreply@support.com. This email address has been on tons of email scams from PayPal scams to top name banks.  You may have also seen this email address spelled differently like this no-reply@support.com  Ether way if you see this email address your likely looking at a scam.
  • update@support.com. Again, the same as the last one.  Just a different word used.
  • Createw8. This the name of an X-eBay user who was scamming people on eBay by claiming to sell them a product.  This user no longer exist on eBay but likely to have just changed their user name to something else once eBay caught on.  You can read more about this scam here.
  • notification@paypal-us.intl.com. This is another PayPal scam email address.  An email address from PayPal should say intl.paypal.com not this one.

Add A Name To The Scammers List

Above, I have tried to give you a few the known scammers that I have recently come across.  Now it’s your turn share your knowledge so we can turn in scammers and stop them from ripping off more people.   If you Think you’re at risk for identity theft? Get LifeLock from $9/month. Enroll now.

I too have encountered the housing credit scammers!

After responding to an ad for an apartment I received the following email from a “Maria Grasso” at email address: maria.grasso@mail-genius.com-

    Hello,

I apologize for not responding to you earlier, I have been extremely busy the last few days!

The good news is that the rental is still available! We had handshake agreement from the first person we showed it to, but now it seems that they changed their mind, so we need to lease it as soon as possible. You were the second one to email me about it.

We know you will want to do a walkthrough of the property, but my husband doesn’t want me to advertise the address as a measure of safety. Last time we did that without verifying people, the empty property was broken into and vandalized. We don’t want that to happen again! You will be responsible for cable, internet, and phone, if you decide to have these services. Just to confirm, we DO allow pets at this property.

The rental term is 12-month lease, but can be switched into a 6-month lease if preferred. We just ask that you give us fair notice if you are moving out.

If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the link below and request the free copy of your rental report. We use this site for all the properties we manage. Just fill out the form and indicate that you want the free report. The actual scores aren’t important to us, it’s more of a formality to have it on file, to make sure there are no previous property related issues.

    Get your report here: http://reliablecreditsite.org/property02786/

Remember, we only need to see the page about the rental history. That will be all you will need to bring with you to the showing.
As far as getting together to see the property goes, I am available to show it any time from 10:00 am on, for the next few days. Let me know once you have it printed out, and we will set up a time to do your walk-through.

Thank you once again for your interest!

    Maria Grasso

    Hi there,
I apologize for not getting back to you quicker! So many fires to put out over the last couple of days. The good news is that the rental is still available . I thought we had it rented to someone who inquired initially, but it appears they have changed their mind, so we need to start showing it again, as we are obligated to get a new tenant quickly. Since you were the next person to email me about the property, you are the next in line.

The unit is in excellent condition, which the images don’t do it justice. It is understandable that you would like to see the unit, regardless, our policy is not to divulge the address, as there are some lunatics in the world with bad intentions. Recently, we had a property broken into when we gave out the location before getting an application. Something like that will not take place in the future. I’ll confirm what you probably already know…this property is gorgeous! This kind of property would normally rent for quite a bit more than other comparable properties in the neighborhood, but again, we want to rent it out quickly, which is why we have priced it aggressively.

All utilities are connected and will be transferred into your name after signing the lease. You will be responsible for cable, internet, and phone – if you decide to have these services. Pets are allowed but just need to know the size and breed for our records. The term of the lease is 12 months, but we allow a 6 month if you prefer. We just ask that you give us 30 days notice if you want to vacate the property.

In order to set up a time to view the property, please follow the link below and request a copy of your rental history and credit report, at no cost to you. Our company uses this firm for all of our credit and rental history reports. Just fill out the form and indicate that you want the free credit report. The actual scores on the report aren’t important to us (we know times are tough and just about everyone has had credit, foreclosure problems). For insurance purposes, we are required to have a report on file from every prospective tenant. Here is the link: NO-COST CREDIT REPORT

We only need to see the section about the rental history. You just need to bring that to your appointment to see the property.

My availability over the next few days is going to be constrained, but I will try to be available between 10am and 8pm. Once you have a printed copy of your report, send me an email and we can set up a time to meet at the property.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting you!

I have also recieved an email from Cindy Miller and I have been crying for the last hour, because I really needed that house. I am living in a tent right now due to a rental house being sold out from under me. People who do this sort of thing need to be at minimum put in jail….

  6. gigi says:

    hi kelly

you stay strong okay…something good will come out from all of this. You will find something better with Gods will, be strong. Sorry to hear that news. Yeah these scammers should be put in jail and make them pay for what they did and do. Wish there i a way to catch them, but if they are overseas, which most of them are, it is hard to catch them . I have been scammed too and i lost 50k…and i am so angry at myself to be caught inthis.

  7. Rachel says:

Also got something from Cindy Miller today. The email was almost identical to Chuck’s, but it was about a home in Denver, Colorado. I don’t get it…what’s in it for these scammers? Do they just want my personal information?

    Here’s the email she sent:

    Hi there,

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get back to you sooner! So many fires to put out over the course of the last few days. With that said, the unit is still available and ready to go . There was a person who had significant interest in the unit, but they lost their job, so we are prepared to put it back on the market, as we want to get it rented ASAP. Since you were the next person to email me about the property, you are the next in line.

A few propsects have contacted us about seeing the property, but my husband doesn’t want me to send out the address, as there are a lot of crazy people out there these days. Not too long ago, I had a rental broken into and vandalized when I gave the address out before documenting the prospect. We don’t want that to happen again. I’ll confirm what you probably already know…this property is gorgeous! We would usually get much more for this property, but again, we had someone fall out and need to solidify a tenant, which is why the rent is lower than the market rate.

The utilities are intact and can be switched over to you once the lease is signed. You will be responsible for cable, internet, and phone – if you decide to have these services. Not sure if this was in the ad, but we do allow pets but we need to document the type of animal and breed for our records. The term of the lease is 12 months, but we allow a 6 month if you prefer. 8. Kelly Kristine says:

Thanks for the posts…I just got this one too….glad we are working together…
Yes they should all be PUT in jail, and their fingers chopped off so they can never email again? :-)

    Hello,
I apologize for not getting back to you quicker! It has been so crazy during the last few days. I can tell you that the rental is still open and ready to rent . We had an offer from the first person we showed it to, but they lost their job, so we are going to open it up to prospective tenants, as we need to rent it out within the next week. Since you were the next person to email me about the property, you have the option to secure the property.

The unit is in fantastic shape, which you can obviously see from the photos. It is understandable that you would like to see the unit, but my husband doesn’t want me to send out the address, as there are some not-so-good people looking for vacant properties. The last time we gave out the address without verifying the prospective tenant. Something like that will not take place in the future. I will tell you, this is a beautiful unit! A unit like this would typically go for much more, but again, we had someone fall out and need to solidify a tenant, which is why the lease rate is a tremendous value.

The utilities are intact and can be switched over to you once the lease is signed. We cover everything except for cable, phone and internet. Pets are allowed but ask that you provide the animal type and pets name for our records. The rental term is 12-month lease, but can be switched to a 6-month lease, if that is more favorable. All we ask is that you provide 30 days notice prior to moving out.

In order to set up a time to view the property, please follow the link below and request a copy of your rental history and credit report, at no cost to you. Our company uses this firm for all of our credit and rental history reports. While filling out the form, make sure you select the free report. Your scores are not critical, as most people these day have foreclosures, BKs, etc. it’s just that we need to have something on file for all of our tenants. Here is the link: NO-COST CREDIT REPORT

The only pages we require are regarding your rental history. If you would be so kind as to bring that when you come to see the unit.

My availability over the next few days is going to be constrained, but I will try to be available between 10am and 8pm. Let me know when you’ve printed out your credit report, and we will set up a time to do your walk-through.

Yes, “Cindy Miller” has been doing her work in the Twin Cities as well. Honestly, she keeps bugging me even though I have already twice said that I am not interested. I kind of let her have it and also sent the link to this page because it amused me to do it.

I suspected this was a scam after I used Google maps to search for the home listed in her Ad, as the cross streets are near me. This area is 2 blocks away from me and there are NO homes built in 2003 with 3 garages! Here is the CL Ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/apa/2401026839.html.
A domain search shows that the owner is a male in the LA area. I used 2 diff E Mails and got the following for Burbank, CA:

Ha! I received a “Cindy Miller” email on May 26 from tammy@uspropertymanagementrentals.com (are you Cindy or Tammy?) in response to a too good to be true apartment with photos on Craigslist that looked like a magazine shoot (probably were) that I inquired about in February. The response was nearly identical to the two I received in Feb. All responses are below – the first one was from “Jennifer”: leasing.uspropertymanagementllc@gmail.com, then from “Jamie Crane”: jamie.crane@mail-genius.com and now Cindy/Tammy. Little details are changed in each email – first it’s Jennifer who had a break-in, then Jamie’s husband who doesn’t want the address disclosed because of a break-in, then it’s Cindy who’d been robbed previously… and interesting that both Jennifer and Cindy have time that’s going to be “constrained”… which is awkwardly put.

Since you were the next person to email me about the property, you are the next in line.

The unit is in excellent condition, which I am sure you can see from the pictures. We know a lot of prospective renters want to take a quick look at the property, however we have had some unfortunate instances, as there are some lunatics in the world with bad intentions. Recently, we had a property broken into when we gave out the location before getting an application. I can’t afford that happening again. I’ll confirm what you probably already know…this property is gorgeous! A unit like this would typically go for much more, but again, I need to lease it immediately, which is why the lease rate is below market value.

All utilities are connected and will be transferred into your name after signing the lease. The landlord pays for all utilities, except phone, cable and internet. Pets are allowed but just need to know the size and breed for our records. We typically sign a 12 month lease, but are open to a 6 month, if that works better for you. All we ask is that you provide 30 days notice prior to moving out.

If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the link below and request the free copy of your rental / credit report. Our company uses this firm for all of our credit and rental history reports. When you fill out the request, make sure you select the “no cost” credit report. The scores are insignificant – we realize many folks have had foreclosures, bankruptcy, etc. it’s just that we need to have something on file for all of our tenants. Here is the link: No Cost Credit Report

The only pages we require are the ones regarding your rental history. That will be all you will need to bring with you to the showing.

My availability over the next few days is going to be constrained, but I will try to be available between 10am-2pm and 5-8pm. Let me know when you’ve printed out your credit report, and we will set up a time to do your walk-through.

    Thanks!
    Jennifer

    Hello [name],

    Get your report here: http://thinkcredit.org/property07236/

Remember, we only need to see the page about the rental history. That will be all you will need to bring with you to the showing.
As far as getting together to see the property goes, I am available to show it any time from 10:00 am on, for the next few days. Let me know once you have it printed out, and we will set up a time to do your walk-through.

Thank you once again for your interest!

    Jamie Crane

    Hi,
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to get back to you sooner! It has been so crazy during the last few days. With that said, the unit is still available and ready to go . There was a person who had significant interest in the unit, but it appears they have changed their mind, so we need to start showing it again, as we want to get it rented ASAP. Since you were the next person to email me about the property, we are giving you first right of refusal.

This property is in exquisite condition, which I am sure you can see from the pictures. It is understandable that you would like to see the unit, regardless, our policy is not to divulge the address, as there are some lunatics in the world with bad intentions. Not too long ago, I had a rental broken into and vandalized when I gave the address out before documenting the prospect. We don’t want that to happen again. I can tell you that it’s a very special property! A unit like this would typically go for much more, but again, we had someone fall out and need to solidify a tenant, which is why the rent is lower than the market rate.

After the lease has been signed, the utilities can be switched over to your name. We cover everything except for cable, phone and internet. Not sure if this was in the ad, but we do allow pets but we need to document the type of animal and breed for our records. The term of the lease is 12 months, but we allow a 6 month if you prefer. All we ask is that you provide 30 days notice prior to moving out.

If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the link below and request the free copy of your rental / credit report. We use this company for all the properties we manage. Just fill out the form and indicate that you want the free credit report. The actual scores on the report aren’t important to us (we know times are tough and just about everyone has had credit, foreclosure problems). Our company policy is to retain a copy on file from each of our prospective tenants. Here is the link: NO-COST CREDIT REPORT

The details on your previous rental experience is the only part we need to review immediately. You just need to bring that to your appointment to see the property.

My availability over the next few days is going to be constrained, but I will try to be available between 10am and 8pm. After you have completed the online process, let me know that you have a hard copy and I can schedule an appointment at the rental.
    Cheers!

Wrote “William” back and told him I just found his name on a scammers list. What a low-life jerk. He’s just wasting everybody’s time, energy and money. So sad.

  18. D Barron says:

I received a similar response from Cindy Miller (Cindi@uspropertymanagementrentals.com) for a home in the Inland Empire, the advertisement was for a 2bdrm/1 bath/1car garage/newly remodeled home for $675 month. Such a deal! I want to know what happened when I followed the link for my credit report, the site required my credit card or ATM number to pay $1 for the free report and required a 7 day trial membership with ScoreSense. A message appeared that the report was unavailable to me. I’m upset about this because early yesterday morning my xhusband called to renig on the deal he made last week to sign his home over to me since he’s getting married this month and will be paying cash for the new place. They changed their mind and left me with no where to go and then this jerk happened along. It all seemed too good to be true and twice this week thought my lemons were about to be lemon merengue pies (sweet deals). Right! Instead I got a boat load of crap. My suspicion peaked when there was no response on day 2 given she needed to lease the place right away.
Good news for me I will survive, get some other place (for more money) and pray… Whether you are a believer or not this guy will turn or burn and if his choice is burning for all eternity in hell with Satan himself this is basically what the Bible says will happen (creative liberty added for clarity): he will be forever in total and utter darkness, can see nothing, he will be ringing his hands because of his own torment, hearing only the sound of torturing devils and countless other souls crying out. He will be hot, parched and thirsty, begging for relief and getting none, EVER! He will just burn in the lake of fire for eternity. Not the party some people think it’s going to be, hope this is worth it! And just for the record, only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life – no one comes to the Father except through Him. He alone saves our souls and heals our bodies and minds. I will forgive, but be the fool only once; my naivity doesn’t make me stupid nor does my faith make me a nut case (just in case you were thinking that). :)

  19. D Barron says:

One other thing: I’m a member of Score Sense and will be reporting the scam to them, Inland Empire Craigslist and anywhere else I can find to get this guy off the web. What a jerk. And don’t judge, I may be a Christian but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be righteously indignant and do something about it just like everyone else who got caught up in this – we’re the innocent ones and he’s the fraud, just that my take on it may be different from some one elses.

WOW. I thought I was the only one getting frustrated by these scammers. I have been checking Craigslist for housing for a couple of months now. 9 out of 10 are scams. I simply don’t understand it. Why isn’t there some way to legitimately check these things out before they let them post? And where are all the legitimate housing ads? I have had emails from so many ppl. Cindy Miller, those claiming to be from England, or Africa…or missionaries, new jobs in foreign countries..just needing someone to care for their homes. Unbelieveable. IT IS SOOOOOO FRUSTRATING TRYING TO FIND LEGITIMATE ADS.

I’ve run into Cindy Miller too. “She” seems to be working in Palo Alto too. The email seemed a little off to me. Also, the only pictures of the house were external pictures, which should have been a clue. I’m glad I followed up before getting scammed.

    Hi,
My apologies for the delay! Things have been so hectic for me during the last few days. However, the property is still vacant . I thought we had it rented to someone who inquired initially, but it appears they have changed their mind, so we are prepared to put it back on the market, as we need to rent it out within the next week. You were one of the first people who contacted us about the unit, we are giving you first right of refusal.

The unit is in excellent condition, which you can obviously see from the photos. A few propsects have contacted us about seeing the property, however we have had some unfortunate instances, as there are some not-so-good people looking for vacant properties. Recently, we had a property broken into when we gave out the location before getting an application. I can’t afford that happening another time. I can tell you that it’s a very special property! We would usually get much more for this property, but again, we had someone fall out and need to solidify a tenant, which is why the rent is lower than the market rate.

After the lease has been signed, the utilities can be switched over to your name. You will be responsible for cable, internet, and phone – if you decide to have these services. Pets are allowed but just need to know the size and breed for our records. The term of the lease is 12 months, but we allow a 6 month if you prefer. All we ask is that you provide 30 days notice prior to moving out.

To set up a time to view the property, just go to the link below and get a copy of your credit and rental history, which is provided at no cost. Our company uses this firm for all of our credit and rental history reports. Just fill out the form and indicate that you want the free credit report. The scores are insignificant – we realize many folks have had foreclosures, bankruptcy, etc. There is an ordinance that will soon require us to have this document on file for potential tenants, so we are making sure we are compliant. Here is the link: NO-COST CREDIT REPORT

We only need to see the section about the rental history. If you would be so kind as to bring that when you come to see the unit.

The best time for us to get together is between 9 am – 7:30 pm one day this week. After you have completed the online process, let me know that you have a hard copy and I can schedule an appointment at the rental.
Thanks and I look forward to meeting you!

So the credit reporting scam is called “Push Marketing”. They get a cut of everyone that signs up. The company (ScoreSense.com) is mostly legit. You will get a credit report and they may actually monitor something. The scam is you submit your credit card info as “verification” for $1. This actually starts the free trial. After 7-10 days if you do nothing, you are automatically billed $30/month there after until you cancel.

You have to call to cancel the membership. At first they were all offended that someone was using them like that. Then they tried to sell me a cheaper membership!

Don’t forget to call and cancel. The number is in your confirmation email they sent you.

Pets are allowed but just need to know the size and breed for our records. The rental term is 12-month lease, but can be switched to a 6-month lease, if that is more favorable. The only requirement is that you send us 30 days notice, when you want to move out of the unit.

If you would like to set up an appointment, go to the link below and request the free copy of your rental / credit report. This is the company we are authorized to use for all of the properties under our management. When you fill out the request, make sure you select the “no cost” credit report. The scores are insignificant – we realize many folks have had foreclosures, bankruptcy, etc. For insurance purposes, we are required to have a report on file from every prospective tenant. Here is the link: http://shrturl.net/156d65258b97e6309970a6682f58d490

The only pages we require are regarding your rental history. You just need to bring that to your appointment to see the property.

My availability over the next few days is going to be constrained, but I will try to be available between 10am and 8pm. After you have completed the online process, let me know that you have a hard copy and I can schedule an appointment at the rental.
    See you later this week!

Yes this Cindy is definately getting around… today she was in Kentucky on Craigslist with gorgeuos pics of an apartment she would not give information out on… I have been emailing about apartments for days and never had a problem getting anyone to give out an address over email except her, which made me suspicious. So I emailed her back saying hey lookit, no address, no paperwork.

DONT FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK!! It is a scam of some sort. If you do they will have all your information and who knows what they will do with it or what will happen to you…

Here is a copy of the email she sent to me…

    Hi,
My apologies for the delay! So many tthing I had to do over the course of the last few days. The good news is that the rental is still available . There was a person who had significant interest in the unit, but they lost their job, so we need to start showing it again, as we want to get it rented ASAP. Considering you had contacted us initially, regarding the rental, we are giving you first right of refusal.

The unit is in excellent condition, which the images don’t do it justice. We know a lot of prospective renters want to take a quick look at the property, regardless, our policy is not to divulge the address, as there are some lunatics in the world with bad intentions. The last time we gave out the address without verifying the prospective tenant. We don’t want that to happen again. I’ll confirm what you probably already know…this property is gorgeous! A unit like this would typically go for much more, but again, I need to lease it immediately, which is why the lease rate is a tremendous value.

Well Cindy has hit Dublin, CA now… I am glad I didn’t fill out the link. I was kind of leery but I did give her my phone number. Ew… The whole scam needs to riot in HELL…. I am pissed that there are idiots out there that don’t give a darn about other people. She respond to me with an excuse that the water pipes just broke and it would take 3-5 weeks to repair.
I really to need to move too.
